Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Mergers United platform ("Platform"), operated by Mergers United for Commercial Mediation ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you ("User," "Customer," or "Subscriber") agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

2. Platform Role and Nature of Services

Mergers United operates solely as a technology platform that facilitates introductions and communication between business owners, investors, and other market participants. The Company does not act as a broker, agent, advisor, intermediary, fiduciary, guarantor, or representative of any User, does not participate in negotiations, drafting, execution, or enforcement of agreements between Users. All interactions, negotiations, and agreements occur directly between Users at their own risk.

3. Matchmaking and Service Limitations

The Platform may provide matchmaking, recommendations, or introductions based on user-defined criteria and system logic. Matchmaking services are provided only when user profiles fully satisfy all applicable criteria. The Company does not guarantee any minimum number of matches, offers, introductions, proposals, or business opportunities, including any indicative or promotional figures.

Matchmaking results depend entirely on the availability of compatible users. The absence of suitable matches does not constitute a failure of service or grounds for complaint, refund, or compensation.

4. User Responsibilities

Users undertake to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering, publishing any listing or content, or submitting any offer
  • Conduct independent due diligence before entering into any transaction, negotiation, or agreement
  • Obtain appropriate legal, financial, tax, and professional advice independently prior to making any commercial or investment decision
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and relevant contractual obligations

The Company shall not be responsible for verifying the legality of any business, the financial capacity of any party, or the accuracy of any information provided by users. Any review by the Company is for regulatory or compliance purposes only.

5. No Deal Assurance & No Post-Agreement Responsibility

The Company does not guarantee the completion, success, validity, profitability, or legality of any transaction or business relationship initiated through the Platform. Once Users enter into any agreement or arrangement, the Company shall have no responsibility or liability for: execution or performance of the agreement; enforcement, termination, or amendment of contractual terms; legal, regulatory, tax, or compliance matters; financial outcomes, disputes, or losses; or any post-agreement obligations. All post-agreement matters remain solely between the involved parties.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data, or reputation; or claims arising from failed negotiations, unsuccessful transactions, or user conduct. The Company's role is strictly limited to providing access to the Platform and associated technical features.

7. Subscription, Credits, and Commercial Terms

Use of the Platform may be subject to subscription plans, credits, fees, and other commercial conditions as defined in the Subscription & Payment Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. The Company reserves the right to modify pricing, plans, and commercial rules in accordance with applicable policies.

8. Content, Listings, and User Submissions

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of any content, listings, proposals, or communications submitted to the Platform. The Company does not guarantee the correctness or authenticity of user-generated content and reserves the right to remove, restrict, or reject any content that violates policies, applicable laws, or operational standards.

9. Dispute Resolution Between Users

Any disputes arising between Users, including those related to transactions, negotiations, or agreements, shall be resolved directly between the parties. The Company is not a party to such disputes and shall have no obligation to mediate, arbitrate, or enforce outcomes, unless otherwise required by law.

10. Termination and Suspension

The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, applicable policies, or legal requirements, without liability for any resulting losses.

11. Amendments

The Company may update or amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated version.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Qatar, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
